Last updated: May 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website operated by Bella Acosta Arias, MD, PLLC ("we," "us," or "the Practice"). By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Informational purpose only
The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes. It does not constitute medical advice, psychiatric diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or the practice of medicine, and it does not create a physician-patient relationship between you and Dr. Acosta Arias or the Practice. A physician-patient relationship is established only after a formal evaluation, signed consent, and engagement of the Practice's clinical services.
2. Not for emergencies
This website is not intended for use in crisis situations. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. In the United States, you can also call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Messages submitted through this website are not monitored 24/7 and must not be used for urgent or emergency concerns.
3. Forensic services
Information about forensic psychiatric services on this website is provided for attorneys, courts, insurers, and other retaining parties. Engagement of forensic services requires a written agreement, scoping discussion, and retainer. Submitting a contact form or scheduling an introductory call does not by itself create a retainer agreement or expert-witness relationship.
4. No guarantees of outcome
Psychiatric and forensic outcomes depend on many factors. The Practice makes no representation or warranty regarding any specific clinical, legal, or therapeutic outcome that may result from services described on this website.
5. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, design, logos, and images, is the property of Bella Acosta Arias, MD, PLLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any portion of this site without prior written consent.
6. Third-party links
This website may contain links to third-party websites or services, including a third-party scheduling tool. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party sites. Use of those sites is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Practice and Dr. Acosta Arias shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of this website or any information contained on it.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Bella Acosta Arias, MD, PLLC is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of this website will be resolved in the courts of that state.
